2 DAYS TSAVO AND SALT – LICK

 

This safari has proved time and again to one of our most popular safaris. Offering a superb combination of park with the luxury of a Holton Lodge.

 

• Making an early morning start, you will be driven inland to Tsavo East National Park, stopping at Aruba Dam, one of the best places to view and photograph the park’s resident game.
• Lunch is at Voi Safari Lodge, after which you will drive through Tsavo to Salt lick for an afternoon game drive in this private sanctuary and overnight.
• After an early breakfast, you will set off on a long game drive to find the Big Five and take some spectacular wildlife shots of the animals that surround you. Lunch is at Taita Hills Lodge before you will be driven back to hotel.

  

 

 

 

TWO DAYS TSAVO EAST

INTENARY

 

DAY ONE

• Pick up from your hotel at 0630hrs
• Drive direct to this famous National park and the largest in Kenya via MBA/NBA road.
• Arrive after driving for about 2 ½ hours to the first entrance (Bachuma Gate)
• Immediately start looking for the animals with the help of our experienced, driver until lunch time.
• Arrive and check in at our lodge for lunch after which we relax until, 1600hrs
• Embark for another major game drive for about two hours searching for Lions, Elephants, Cheeter, Girrafes, and many others.
• Come back from dinner and overnight at our lodge/camp

 

DAY TWO

• Wake up with tea or coffee
• Do an early morning game drive
• Come back for breakfast
• After breakfast pack our belongings and make our last game drive en-route as came out of the pack
• Have our early lunch at VOI town
• After lunch, start our journey back to MOMBASA
• (At your own wish you may visit the Maasai village on your way back to Mombasa)
• Arrive at your Mombasa hotel at the early evening

THREE DAYS SAFARI OF THE YEAR

ITINERARY

DAY ONE

·        Pick up from hotel at 06:30Hrs

·        Drive direct to Tsavo East National Park famous for its Wildlife and Flora

·        Arrive after driving for about 2 ½ hrs at the first gate(Bachuma) and clear with the gate.

·        Immediately start looking for the animals in help of our experienced driver until lunch time

·        Check in at our first lodge in Voi Wildlife Lodge for our lunch after which we will relax for a while until around 16:00Hrs

·        Embark for a major game drive for a period of 2hrs looking for Lions, Elephants, Cheeter, Leopard and many more

·        Come back for dinner and overnight at the lodge

 

DAY TWO

• Wake up early in the morning (if time allows make a short game drive)
• Breakfast
• After breakfast leave the Park and drive towards Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch making game drive en route
• Check in at Amboseli Lodge for lunch and relax abit(on your own wish you can visit the Maasai village)
• Around 16:00hrs make a major game drive until 18:00hrs
• Come back for dinner and overnight at the lodge

 

DAY THREE

• Wake up with tea or coffee
• Early morning game drive looking for more animals
• Come back for breakfast
• After breakfast we start our journey back to Mombasa making a game drive en-route
• Lunch en-route  as we are coming back (Voi)
• After lunch we come back to Mombasa, arriving in the late evening

THREE DAYS SAFARI TSAVO EAST AND WEST

ITINERARY

 

DAY ONE

• Pick from your Hotel at 06:30hrs
• Drive direct Tsavo East National Park famous for its Flora and Fauna
• Arrive after driving for about 2 ½ hrs at the first entrance (Bachuma gate)
• After clearing with gate start our first game viewing until lunch time, (have the chance of viewing the Yatta Plateau – longest in the World).
• Arrive and check in at our first Lodge for lunch after which we have our time at leisure.
• Around 16:00hrs embark for another major game drive until 18:00hrs looking for Elephant, Leopard, Lions, different specials of entelopes and many others.
• Come back for dinner and overnight at our lodge/camp

 

DAY TWO

• Wake up and have our breakfast
• After breakfast we depart for Tsavo West National park famous for its physical features
• Enter through Tsavo river gate and start looking for animals as we head, for our lodge / camp for lunch
• Arrive and check in at our lodge/camp and then have our lunch
• Relax until at around 1600hrs whereby we will embark for another major game viewing to areas like Ngullia Rhino Sanctuary in search of the rare, Rhino, Cheeter, Lions and others
• Come back around 1800hrs for dinner and overnight at out lodge / camp

 

DAY THREE

• Wake up and have breakfast
• After breakfast we park our belongings and do our last game drive en-route visiting areas like Mzima Springs, Chaimu/Sheitani Lava flows which erupted very many years
• Arrive and have our lunch at Voi town
• After lunch we start our journey back to Mombasa(at your own wish you can visit the Maasai Village on your way back)
• Arrive at our Mombasa hotel in the evening

DAY ONE

• Leave Mombasa early morning for Nairobi via Mombasa – Nairobi road
• Lunch at Mtito Andei
• Arrive Nairobi early in the evening
• Dinner and overnight in a Nairobi hotel

 

DAY TWO

• Early morning breakfast
• Leave  Nairobi for Mara, stopping over at the view site to view the rift valley
• Lunch in –route at Narok town
• Arrive in the late afternoon
• Make an evening game drive if time allows
• Come back for dinner and overnight at our camp/lodge

 

DAY THREE

• Wake up and have our breakfast
• All the day is spent in this famed park for its wild animals and birdlife; chances of seeing the big five are very high
• Have our picnic lunch at Mara river and visit the Hippo point
• Come back for dinner and overnight at our lodge/camp

 

DAY FOUR

• Wake up and have our breakfast
• Make game drive enroute as we come out of the park leaving to lake Nakuru National park
• Have our lunch en-route at Narok town
• Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and check –in at our lodge / hotel
• Make an evening game drive
• Come back for dinner and overnight

 

DAY FIVE

• Wake up with tea or coffee
• Make an early morning game drive
• Come back for breakfast
• If time allows make a trip to lake Bogoria National reserve to see this park famed for its hot springs and geysers around the lake. Alternatively make another game drive in the park famed for its bird life around the lake
• Have our lunch and immediately depart for Nairobi
• Arrive and check in at our Nairobi hotel for dinner and overnight

 

DAY SIX

• Wake up and have our breakfast
• Leave Nairobi for Mombasa
• Lunch at Mtito – Andei
• Arrive at our beach hotel in the early evening

                                                                                                                      OVERNIGHT SHIMBA HILLS

For those that want to get a taste of safari abit closer to home, then Shimba Hills offer the perfect alternative.

 

You will be collected from your hotel just after lunch at 1:00pm and driven to Shimba hills reserve, home of the rare sable antelope, elephant, and buffalo, amongst other species of game.

 

From the entrance gate, a jungle rover will take you to within a few yards of the lodge hence you will walk along the lodge’s unique walkway.

 

You will be taken on an evening game walk by the lodge’s resident warden up on to the hill where a sundowner cocktail will be served before returning to the lodge for the evening.

 

Dinner is served on a terrace overlooking the floodlit water hole elephants are regular.

  

 

  

                                                                                        1 DAY TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

 

We depart from your hotel at dawn. As day breaks, we drive inland, a distance of 140km to the Tsavo East National Park. We enter the Park through Bachuma gate to start our day game viewing exercise.

Morning spent in this sprawling national park in search of the “red” elephants, lions, buffalo, cheetah and other plain game. Lunch will be at Tsavo Park Hotel. After lunch lunch, continue for an extra game drive before returning to Mombasa to arrive in the early evening.

 

 

 

  

EXCURSIONS FROM MOMBASA

 

FULL DAY TOUR OF MOMBASA

Chance to visit all the exciting and historic places in Mombasa with our own experienced guide. On this full day you will also get a chance to see:

• Akamba woodcarvers co-operative and the beautiful Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple
• The majestic famous Elephant Tusk Archway and the historic Portuguese Fortress ‘Fort Jesus’
• The bustle of Mackinnon fruit and vegetable market and the surrounding fragrant spice shops and stalls
• Mombasa’s old town and historic Dhow Port
• This busy morning will be followed by a delicious seafood lunch on the Tamarind Dhow / Restaurant
• The day comes to a close with a visit to Bamburi Nature Trail where you will have chance to see the feeding of the two enormous Hippopotamuses among many other animals.

 

 

 

  

WASINI ISLAND DHOW

 

This trip is specifically for snorkeling or Scuba diving enthusiast or for people who love the sea as you get to enjoy snorkeling on the south coast and relaxing day on a tropical island.

 

• After breakfast you will be escorted to Shimoni, ‘the place of the caves’. And take a Dhow to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, which offers some of the best goggling in Kenya. (all equipment is supplied, but do not forget to bring your swimsuit and strong shoes that you can get wet).
• At lunch time you will return to Wasini Island for a superb fresh seafood lunch, served in traditionally styled coastal restaurant.
• Visiting a Muslim village is an option you may wish to choose but please respect local cutoms and cover your swimwear to avoid embarrassment) or you may just want to laze around.
• At approximately 16:00hrs you will return by Dhow to the Shimoni jetty in the early evening for the transfer back o your hotel.
• Scuba diving is also possible for those holding official certificates and should be booked at the same time as booking this tour.

 

Kindly note that this excursion does involve a certain amount of sailing in open waters. Those prone to ‘sea sickness’ should take this into consideration and or take the necessary precautionary tablets. The Dhow trip after goggling, to your lunch site is approximately two hours.
